Workshop celebrating the X Anniversary of SE Spain
Did you know that High Fevers can constitute a trauma? And not only that, but that your client (or you) can end up with a big piece of their vitality and selfhood held in a dissociated state from a past unresolved High Fever?
High Fevers are a category of Global High Activation trauma that consist of incomplete physiological cycles (the cycles involved in a high fever, which often do not get completed) and dissociated states. Often, an incomplete high fever trauma is related to developmental pieces that may have been happening in the child’s life when the fever occurred.
The work with High Fever states helps the dissociated client to come home to a body and a self that they may have left many years before. It frees vitality from states of suspended animation where it may be held, thus impeding the client from moving forward in their process. Finally, it restores resilience to physiological cycles having to do with temperature regulation and immunity.
